In our trophy collection, we have a raid backpack 6Sh118. It appeared in the Russian army in 2015 as part of the Ratnik general-purpose kit. This kit was first introduced in 2011 and made its debut during the annexation of Crimea by the Russian military. By 2015, it began to be officially supplied to the Russian army. Ratnik is a source of pride for the occupiers. They consider this kit the best in the world because dozens of military-industrial enterprises in Russia were involved in its development and supposedly took into account all the aspects of modern wars around the world.
The raid backpack 6Sh118 is included in the combat gear of the II generation “Ratnik”. The tactical backpack 6Sh118 is an upgrade of the model of the raid backpack 6B38 “Permyachka”. The modernized raid backpack 6Sh118 is an element of the individual combat gear of military personnel designed for carrying weapons, ammunition, elements of mountaineering equipment, and personal belongings. The backpack can be used during combat operations, long marches, and raid operations.
The raid backpack is in good condition, worn out, and no longer smells of “Russian peace.” It was brought into Ukraine in violation of the rules and confiscated by brave soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Now, it is a part of the significant history of the Ukrainian people’s battle for freedom and independence in 2022-2023. You can read about the Ratnik system in English here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratnik_(program)
