GRAU index 6B47 Kevlar helmet under the index 6B47. The helmet of the occupant “Niko” with damages.
The 6B47 helmet is the only military armored helmet of the Russian army and is part of the “Ratnik” equipment. It has been developed by the “Armakom” center since 2011. Occupants claim that this helmet is 30-40% better than NATOs analogs. And one of the leaders of the company that produces aramid fibers for this helmet stated that in 2015, experts from DuPont testing center recognized this helmet as the best in the world. However, this information is not available on the DuPont website.
It is lightweight, with mounts for lighting devices. These helmets can often be seen on the heads of occupiers. There is a lot of information about these helmets and tests of their capabilities on the internet.
This particular helmet was worn by an occupant nicknamed “Niko.” It is damaged on the upper part and can be made into various wonderful art objects according to your desire. On eBay auctions, such helmets are currently sold from Ukraine for $500-1000 per piece and are valuable among military equipment collectors.
We have such specimens in our collection. An art object made from such a helmet will be an exclusive addition to your collection.
