Brass – it’s our love. Polished brass looks like gold. And when polished to a glass-like state, it’s truly something incredible.
This casing is from our allies and is used in Soviet towed howitzers D30 (GRAU index 2A18). These howitzers were put into service with the Soviet Army in the early 1960s. Since then, so many have been produced that the D30 can easily be called the most widely used artillery system in the world. It’s commonly known as the “toad” among locals. The effective firing range of this howitzer is 15.4 km. It’s used in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine by both sides and is a simple and reliable weapon dating back to Soviet times.
There is a lot of information available about the D30 howitzer in the public domain. We really enjoy working with these casings and making interesting things out of them. We can make a nice item for you too.
