Iron is our love. Just like polished brass. When iron is polished to a glass-like state, it becomes something incredible.
One of these shells (the black one) is from our allies, and the other is from the occupiers. They are used on Soviet D30 towed howitzers (index GRAU 2A18). These howitzers were adopted by the Soviet army in the early 1960s and since then, so many have been produced that the D30 can easily be called the most widely used artillery system in the world. It is colloquially known as the “toad”. The effective firing range of this howitzer is 15.4 km.
It is being used on both sides of the war in Ukraine and is a simple and reliable weapon dating back to Soviet times. There is a lot of information available to the public about the D30 howitzer.
